In much the same way that in Arabic there are no less than seven words for ‘love’, in the mind’s eye of Moorcroft designer, Emma Bossons, there are multiple images all of which can spell that most important of all words in the English language. Emma's Valentine’s flowers have deep crimson, heart-shaped petals and a centre full of the sweetest nectar imaginable. To these flowers come her hummingbirds, their brightly-coloured wings beating more than thirty times every second and their long beaks poised ready to take out the sweet nectar. In many parts of the world, the hummingbirds themselves are special and from time immemorial, synonymous with love. By bringing these two images together as if by magic, the design is interwoven with both love and beauty.
