Visitors to RSPB Conwy are advised to look out for the lilac-coloured flowers alongside the footpath just south of the Bridge Pond, within the grassland. Field Scabious flower heads will greet you with their abundance of lilac-blue and pink anthers, and hold you beguiled. The same is true for this Moorcroft design which harnesses the bloom in colourful oxide-fusions, delicately painted amid the carefully crafted hairy stems, each hair painstakingly tubelined with liquid clay, which curl around the lower rim of this coaster as a bumblebee hovers overhead.
